I am driving up Friday am and have 2 client meetings scheduled during the first half of the day. Plan to be done around 3p CST. Have made calls to the Four Seasons regarding room availability for the weekend. Our corporate rate - rooms permitting - is about 190/night and we would be less than 2 miles from the start of the race.

I'll probably get into Chicago on Friday around 10 am. I'm thinking about leaving on Tuesday morning and spending Monday just laying around doing nothing. I don't know how my body will react to 26 blastin' miles. But if everyone else is leaving Monday, then I'll be a lemming and leave Monday too. Please let me know.
As for finding a hotel room... good luck. I tried looking and there's nothing available that's close to downtown. I haven't tried anywhere near Chris. Hey Wally, what hotels are nearby your house? |

I know Wally has generously offered Casa de Wollmuth, what do you guys think about getting a room or 2 within a few miles of the run as a base for Saturday night?
